What Is The Best Way To Request Cabinet Door Pricing From Cutting Edge?

You can send Cutting Edge a cabinet door quote request by email, phone, or through your online contractor account. Email works best for complete lists, phone calls offer live support, and online quoting provides instant pricing. Whichever method you choose, include clear sizes, quantities, profiles, wood types, and product details to reduce follow-up questions and delays.

You placed your first order with Cutting Edge and received your cabinet door confirmation. While reviewing it, you notice a mistake. Maybe the size, quantity, material, profile, finish, or shipping information is wrong. Can you still change it? Has production already started? If it is too late, will you need to pay for replacement cabinet doors?

At Cutting Edge, our order entry team handles about 40 orders and warranty orders each working day. Around 60% require at least one change before production. That includes changes requested by customers and corrections our team catches during review. Because we work through these situations every day, we know which changes are simple, which ones need urgent attention, and when an order may be too far along to update.

In this article, you will learn:

You Noticed A Mistake. Can You Still Correct The Cabinet Door Order?

Your first step is to find out whether the order can still be changed.

Cabinet doors are custom-made based on the details shown on your approved confirmation. Once production starts, our team may already have the materials ready. At that point, even a small change can mean starting over.

Some orders enter production within hours of our team receiving confirmation and payment. The exact timing depends on the product, priority, and current capacity. For that reason, contact us as soon as you find a mistake.

You have three ways to check the order status.

Option 1: Check Your Cabinet Door Order Status Online

Sign in to your Cutting Edge account, open the order, and look at the black sidebar on the right side of the screen.

Order Status What You Should Do
Bid Make the change online or contact our team.
Ordered Call in. Changes are usually still possible.
On Hold Request the change before the order moves forward.
Verified Call Cutting Edge immediately; the order could move into production within an hour.
In Progress Call to confirm whether a change is still possible; this status usually indicates the order is already in production.

If the status is Bid, Ordered, or On Hold, you can usually make changes. You may also be able to update it yourself if you have not made a down payment and our team has not verified it.

If the status is Verified or In Progress, call us right away. A team member can check whether production has started and explain your options.

Option 2: Call Cutting Edge To Check The Order Status

Calling is the best option when you cannot access your account or think the order may already be moving into production.

Have your order number ready, then explain which item or detail is incorrect. Our team can open the order while speaking with you and check its current status.

Option 3: Email Cutting Edge About The Mistake

You can also email our team with your order number and a clear description of the error.

However, email is not the best choice when time matters. Our team may not see your message before the order moves into production. You should call instead if you have already approved your order for production.

How to Correct Your Cabinet Door Confirmation

Once you know the order can still be changed, choose the method that fits the order status and urgency.

Option 1: Change Your Cabinet Door Order Online

Sign in to your account, open the order, and find the incorrect line. Enter the correct information, then review the full order before saving it.

Double-check the details most likely to affect the finished product:

  • Sizes
  • Quantities
  • Wood species or material
  • Door style
  • Profiles
  • Panel details
  • Finish or colour
  • Shipping information
  • Purchase order number
  • Special instructions

Finding one mistake is a good reason to review the rest of the order. A few extra minutes now can prevent another correction later.

Important: You cannot edit the order online after making a down payment or after our team verifies it. Call Cutting Edge for assistance if your order is locked.

Option 2: Call In Your Cabinet Door Confirmation Change

Calling is the best choice when the change is urgent, or you want to avoid delays.

The more exact you are, the easier the change will be to process. Give us the order line, the current detail, and the correct detail. For example, ‘please change line 12 from 450 mm wide by 700 mm high to 475 mm wide by 700 mm high.’

Our team can often correct the order while you are on the phone. In most cases, we send a revised confirmation within 5 to 10 minutes after the call.

Your order will not move forward until you review and approve the revised confirmation. Check the requested change and review the full order again. Reply to approve the revised confirmation as soon as possible to avoid delays.

Option 3: Email Your Cabinet Door Order Change

Email works well when the order has not entered production, and the change is not urgent.

Include your order number, the line that must change, the current information, the correct information, and your phone number. We also recommend marking the change directly on the confirmation and attaching a copy.

Our team processes emailed changes within one working day more than 90% of the time. Complex changes may take longer, especially when several requests arrive close to the cutoff.

If your email reaches us before 1 p.m. in our local time zone, we aim to complete the change by the end of that working day.

Just like changes made over the phone, your order will not move forward until you review and approve the revised confirmation. Review the confirmation and reply with your approval as soon as possible

What If You Can't Correct Your Cabinet Door Confirmation?

If the order is already in production, our team will not be able to make changes. Each cabinet door is custom to your specs, and once we process the material, it may not be usable elsewhere.

You usually need to order new items if your order has already entered production. Those items will be processed at full cost when the wrong information appeared on the confirmation you approved. This includes errors in sizes, quantities, materials, profiles, finishes, and other product details.

If Cutting Edge made the error, produced an item that does not match your approved confirmation, or moved the order into production without your approval of the confirmation, contact our team. We will review the confirmation and order history to determine responsibility and a resolution. Keep copies of your original confirmation, revised confirmations, marked documents, and emails. These records make it easier to understand what you requested and approved.
