Our preferred couriers for small orders are Purolator and Loomis Express. For larger orders, Cutting Edge has negotiated rates with several preferred LTL carriers. Our logistics team will select the best carrier for your location based off customer service, transit time, and cost. We are willing to work with other carriers; if you have a preferred carrier, please contact the Cutting Edge Logistics team.

Freight Policy:

Cutting Edge will cover shipping costs on any orders with a subtotal of $1000.00 or more. If the order falls below that threshold, Cutting Edge will ship the order out prepaid and include freight charges on the invoice. Due to the volume of shipments that Cutting Edge sends out, we have been able to negotiate excellent rates from our carriers. Typically we find that our customers can save costs by having Cutting Edge prepay freight on shipments.

Please note that we reserve the right to pass on any extra charges incurred during delivery of any shipment, whether shipping costs are covered by Cutting Edge or not. Below is a summary of the most common accessorial charges we receive; please click here for a complete list.

  • Power tailgate
  • Residential delivery
  • Rural route
  • Carry in charge
  • Delivery detention
  • Storage fee

These freight charges vary by carrier. If you feel any of these charges might apply to your shipments, please reach out to the Cutting Edge team for the typical cost charged by the carrier used to service your area.

If you receive a shipment with any sign of possible damage in transit, please make sure to note ‘Damaged’ on the bill of lading and notify Cutting Edge within 48 hours of receiving the shipment to ensure your claim can be processed. Most freight companies require photos of the damage prior to any unpackaging in addition to photos of the damaged freight. We strongly recommend marking a bill of lading as ‘damaged’ at the slightest sign of damage to the exterior. A small amount of damage to the packaging can result in significant damage to the contents. Damaged items may not be covered by warranty if the bill of lading was not clearly marked, or if Cutting Edge was not notified in a timely manner.

If there is freight damage, you must notify our team within 24 hrs, as we will attempt to make the appropriate logistical arrangements.
